Today we ventured into Cardigan and spotted a sign near the Cardigan Quayside advertising 1 hour scenic boat trips along the River Teifi estuary. The Dai Crabs Boat trip was heading out at 4pm on a beautifully restored private charter, called the the M.F.V. Diana-Ellen.
The weather was amazing, the views were stunning and Captain, Dai ‘Dai Crabs’ Evans was a fantastic host. He kept us interested and entertained with his knowledge of the local area and it’s history and developments along the River Teifi. Dai even had archive folders with historical photographs of the river and surrounding area which were fascinating to compare with the present day scenery.
The return trip went from Cardigan Bridge down towards the boat club at Patch in Gwbert. A fun trip for the family and a perfect way to soak up the sun and take in the views from the river. We returned just in time to catch the last of the sun and a drink at Pizzatipi!
