One of our favourite places to eat in Cardigan is Pizzatipi, located on the Cambrian Quay alongside the River Teifi. The Pizzatipi’s own pub, Tafarn Smwglin sits in the courtyard on the Teifi wharf side, on the ground floor of a recently renovated eighteenth century slate warehouse. Diners can either sit inside the cosy candle-lit bar or you can enjoy some sheltered outdoor seating in the sunny courtyard.
This quayside location offers fantastic sunset views over the River Teifi from decked wooden seating areas or, as night falls, you can cosy up under giant tipis and fire pits. The Stonebaked handmade pizzas, breads & sweets are delicious and there is also a fine selection of welsh spirits & beers, including their own brew – Cwrw fforest. Cheers everyone….Iechyd da! During the Summer there is also a progamme of craft workshops and events that are worth checking out on their website
Also, with plans now underway to develop the Cardigan Quayside buildings behind Pizzatipi, this promises to be the new creative, cultural and entertainment hub of Cardigan…watch this space!
